Earl Ball joined the 1,000-point club last week.
The shuffleboard player from Zephyrhills scored his 1,000th point at the Lakeland Shuffleboard Club on Nov. 21. Ball, who has been playing since 2000, is one of two living Florida shufflers to reach the mark.
Ball is a member of four different hall of fames and has traveled to other countries to play. He’ll be honored for his achievements next month at a dinner in Zephyrhills on Dec. 17. He will be awarded a green jacket at the event.
Stan speaks: This very brief article is from the Lakeland Ledger. The article misspelled Earl’s surname. However; it is a plus that they published it!!!
The reviewing editor needs to be fired.
The man’s name is Ball- Earl Ball!
