Archie and Gwen Kruger celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary

On the occassion of Archie’s induction into the Special Award Category of the CNSA Hall of Fame, Shirley Gould wrote this: CNSA HALL OF FAME SPECIAL AWARD, ARCHIE KRUGER: Archie Kruger of Saskatoon Saskatchewan is being inducted into the CNSA Hall of Fame in recognition of his dedication to the promotion, enjoyment and his consistency of effort to maintain sportsmanship in the shuffleboard game. Shirley Gould Writes: Within the SK Shuffleboard Assn. Inc there is a strong rudder, one who keeps the direction and purpose of the team on course and that is member Archie Kruger. Archie like other snowbound Canadians escaping to AZ, started to play the game in the “90s”. An enthusiastic player in both “In” and “Out” park leagues, Archie was a formidable opponent, always skilful, always congenial. He became Captain of a Dist 1 Good Life Ramble Team and eventually became President of the Ramble League, a position he held for several years.
Archie was elected to the Saskatchewan Shuffleboard Association Inc (SSAI) as vice pres in 2000 and as Pres 2001-03; he resigned due to health issues. Since then Archie has been a valued Board member as Past President. His contribution to the SK organization and to the game of Shuffleboard does not boast like fireworks but is seen in his quiet dedication to details of organization. Archie is an active supporter of the SK Moose Jaw Tournament which has been operating for 16 years. He has also installed and continues to organize 2 Shuffleboard Courts in Elim Lodge in Saskatoon where he lives.
